About the award
The Association of Hoteliers of Uzbekistan, with the official support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan organizes the annual National Award of Hospitality of Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the project is to increase the tourist attractiveness of the country, the quality of services in the field of hospitality.
The award unites owners and top management of chain and individual hotels, general directors of international system, hotel operators, experts, consultants, public and specialized organizations.

Selection criteria
THE BEST BUSINESS HOTEL
Hotels located in the business center of the city are evaluated in this category. Availability of a developed social and household infrastructure, business room, choice of conference services, availability of an «A la carte» restaurant and a 24-hour catering point, transfer services, parking, availability of conference rooms, equipment for conference rooms, meeting rooms, availability of a business room. Wi-Fi access should not only be free, but also high-speed and uninterrupted throughout the hotel.

THE BEST BOUTIQUE HOTEL
The small hotels with an exclusive interior and the availability of individual service are evaluated in this category. As usual these type of hotels does not belong to well-known hotel chains.

The concept of hotels, which is based on ethnic principles will be evaluated. The hotel should have a pronounced authenticity and symbolism of the interior of the premises and guest areas.
THE BEST MINI-HOTEL
The hotels, with accommodation potential with no more than 15 rooms are evaluated in the Nomination. The mini-hotel offers its guests an individual service combined with comfortable rooms and a set of additional services. Internet access throughout the hotel, a loyalty program, the ability to book rooms from the website and by phone, parking availability, proximity to local attractions/the business center of the city.
THE BEST APARTMENT HOTEL
In this category, hotels are evaluated. Rooms here consists of apartments. It is assumed that there is a kitchen in the room. The area of rooms in an Apartment hotel often exceeds the standard area of a hotel room. The concept of the hotel assumes the possibility of accommodating more than two people in Standard rooms.
THE BEST MINI-HOTEL
The quantity of rooms in mini-hotels do not exceed the number 50. At the same time, it should not be less than 16 rooms. These are the basic definitions for the hotels, that are evaluated in the Nomination. The small-hotel offers its guests an individual service combined with comfortable rooms and a set of additional services. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, a loyalty program, the ability to book rooms from the website and by phone, parking, proximity to local attractions, the business center of the city, the availability of a fitness center, a swimming pool, a coffee machine, 24–hour service.
THE BEST HOSTEL
The objects of this category are evaluated by the best option of all basic amenities, despite of economy accommodation.
THE BEST AMENITIES IN THE HOSTEL
In this category, hostels that have a family atmosphere are evaluated. So a special place is occupied by the kitchen — this is a place where guests can meet and communicate with each other. Another important detail is the option of inclusivity in these hostels. Like any other hotel, the hostel offers various services, such as: breakfast, transfer, booking flights or places to restaurants, etc.
THE BEST DESIGN OF THE HOSTEL
The spotlight of this category are hostels with a unique design of the exterior, interior of the premises. It should be made in accordance with a single concept of style or thematic design compositions. The presence of paved access roads to the main entrance, landscaping of the adjacent territory are also the basic details of evaluation.
THE BEST COUNTRY HOTEL
The country hotels, with a location in no more than 100 km from the city center are evaluated here. The hotel should have a developed entertainment infrastructure for passive and active recreation. It is mandatory to have children's areas and a swimming pool.
THE BEST GUEST HOUSE
The guest houses offering high-quality services at affordable prices are evaluated in this category.
THE BEST RURAL GUEST HOUSE
In this category, the guest houses, with the best option of high-quality services at affordable prices are evaluated.
THE BEST NATIONAL INTERIOR OF THE GUEST HOUSE
Here, the guest houses with the location in rural areas are evaluated. The exterior of the building, the interior of the rooms, the garden landscape, the interior of the premises, the natural landscape around those hotels should be made in a unique design of national style. The hotels should also offer the availability of communication, the possibility of providing as additional services the development of new or improving existing skills of guests (riding, mowing, fishing, cooking national dishes or baking, milking cattle, etc.), environmentally friendly products, etc.
OPENING OF THE YEAR
The hotels that started their activities in 2021 are evaluated in this category. The object must be operational for at least 30 days before submitting an application for participation.
THE BEST INFRASTRUCTURE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
The hotels that are better adapted for living with people with disabilities are the nominates for the evaluation in this category.

This is a very important segment, thanks to which tourism for people with disabilities has become possible.
THE BEST GM / MANAGER OF THE YEAR
The best hotel director/general manager of a functioning accommodation facility of any type – a hotel, an apartment hotel, a mini hotel, a boutique hotel-are awarded in this section. The work experience in this hotel in the GM position (for at least 3 years), professional education, hotel performance indicators: ADR, RevPAR will be evaluated.

Either the hotel staff or the Owner can nominate an applicant for this position.
THE BEST ADMINISTRATOR OF THE RECEPTION AND ACCOMMODATION SERVICE
For this nomination, employees of the reception and accommodation service (administrator) of a hotel and other accommodation facility are evaluated. The candidate should have at least three years of work experience in the relevant position, having an education in the specialty in the position they hold (preferably taking into account the qualification level according to PP-4939 of 31.12.2020)
THE BEST HOUSEKIPEENG MANAGER
For this award category, the employees should have at least 5 years of work experience. The nominee should be fully aware of the structure and mode of operation of a hotel enterprise, sanitary and hygienic requirements for the maintenance of the room stock and have qualification requirements for the specialty.
THE BEST HOTEL WITH A UNIQUE DESIGN
A unique design of the exterior of the building, the park landscape, the interior of the premises and guest areas are the main points for evaluation in the category. The concept may contain a collection of works of art. Here, the design of each individual room is thought out, a single design style is traced.
HOTEL SUPPLIER
The purpose of this nomination is to identify the best suppliers and develop a competitive environment in the field of procurement. Companies-suppliers of goods or services for the HoReCa sphere take part in the nomination.
THE BEST RESTAURANT IN THE HOTEL
The basic requirement for this type of restaurant is in demand among hotel guests and local residents. It has its own atmosphere. The restaurant uses exclusive design solutions; a full-fledged author's menu has been developed. The restaurant adheres to high standards of guest service.
THE BEST BREAKFAST IN THE HOTEL
This category evaluates the quality and variety of dishes, as well as the level of guest service during breakfast in the «Swedish line» and a la carte format.
RULES OF PARTICIPATION IN THE NATIONAL HOSPITALITY AWARD OF UZBEKISTAN 2021
The rules of participation in the award imply
1. The availability of a certificate for the provision of hotel services issued by the State Unitary Enterprise «Certification Center for Tourist Services»;

2. Membership in the Association of Hoteliers (conclusion of an agreement with the Association –entry into membership).
Terms of participation
The following persons are invited to participate in the Award:

Accommodation facilities of all categories and types, applications for some nominations can also be submitted by individuals-heads of hotel enterprises, hotel system. The Supplier of the year nomination is attended by companies that supply goods or services for the Horeca sphere.

Audience of the award:

The award unites owners and top management of system and individual hotels, general directors of international system, hotel operators, experts, consultants, public and specialized organizations.

Methodology and nominations:

Hotels will independently submit applications for participation in the Award. The number of nominees is not limited. After registration, hotels create a special presentation, taking into account the profile of the nomination, and also provide additional materials for evaluating the hotel by the jury of the Award. The jury's score is 50% of the final result of the nominee. The evaluation will take place on the basis of ratings according to the E-mehmon system, silk road in international and local online booking systems.

An application for participation in the Award can be submitted by a hotel of the Republic of Uzbekistan that has been operating for more than 30 days. The number of Award nominees is not limited.

The hotel must submit an application for participation in the Award.

Submitting an application for participation in the Award implies:

the hotel agrees with the rules of the Award;

permission to use the text and graphic information provided by the hotel in the framework of the organization and holding of the Award.

Applications for participation are accepted from August 15, 2021. After submitting the application, the hotel will be provided with a login and password to access the personal account.

The presentation and additional materials must be provided to the administrator in the personal account of the hotel within 10 days after submitting the application.

The hotel can be nominated in one category.

Information for the jury's assessment is provided in the form of an online presentation in Russian in the personal account, with the provision of a password and login to each participant separately.
Award evaluation criteria
Evaluation of the jury of the Award is 20%

The rating of the hotel in the online booking system is 60%

Rating in telegram bot is 20%

From 15 August 2021 till September 15, 2021: submission of applications for participation of regions (Andijan, Namangan, Fergana, Syrdarya, Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Republic of Karakalpakstan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Navoi, Tashkent region, Tashkent

on the website Hoteliers.uz will appear «join» button on which clicking the hotel will need to fill out an application (object name and logo).

From August 15, 2021 till November 30, 2021: submission of applications for participation in Tashkent.

From August 15, 2021 till November 30, 2021: getting a rating booking.com and silk road, e-mehmon, the audit of the results will be conducted by the company _________________.

A short list of participants who pass to the second stage of the competition will be compiled.

Responsibility of the nominees

For submitting deliberately false information about the hotel and unreliable information in the application for participation, as well as in the presentation of the hotel, for non-compliance with the conditions, rules and deadlines, the administrator has the right to deprive the hotel of the status of a nominee of the Award. The notification of the withdrawal of the right to participate is sent by e-mail.

Presentations are filled in ONLY by those participants who have passed to the second round. Participants who have not sent their presentations before the specified deadline are eliminated from the competition.

I – September 27, 2021 – selection of regional hotels by nominations and awarding of participants and referral to the second stage of the NHA.

II -December 17, 2021 -the final selection of the winners.
